Based in Newtown, mid-Wales we can act and advise in relation to any property in England or Wales, and for any client irrespective of location.
Oliver Joseph, the firm’s Principal, is a specialist property lawyer with years of experience in dealing with every type of property transaction. He also specialises in business sales and acquisitions.
Sophia Nazar is an experienced family lawyer and residential conveyancer. She holds accreditation on the Law Society’s Children Law Panel and advises on divorce and ancillary relief, private children law matters and all types of residential conveyancing transactions.
Claire Evans is a CLC registered conveyancing technician and joined JPL in July 2022. She has extensive experience in residential conveyancing and with land registry practice and procedure.
Jayne Lewis is an experienced legal secretary and joined JPL in 2023. Specialising in transaction set up she is very often the first point of contact for new clients of the practice. She is regularly complimented on her friendly and helpful approach.
Client preference
We are pleased to be able to offer clients their choice of communication method and case progression. We are able to offer a near paperless process with all communications through email and telephone; or we can offer a more traditional experience for clients that prefer to deal with letters and hard copy documents in front of them.
Technologically advanced security
We use the latest cyberware, including bank grade identity verification and electronic onboarding, to ensure not only that your matter is dealt with as smoothly and efficiently as possible, but also to safeguard and protect against increasingly common risks such as property and identity fraud.
Mortgages and Insurance
We work closely with a small number of highly experienced and specialised mortgage and insurance brokers that we can refer clients to, when required, to discuss their needs. There are no referral fees.
Elderly and Disabled Clients
Our offices have parking and disabled access including an elevator. We are also very happy to offer home visits to clients within a reasonable distance who may struggle to otherwise have an appointment in person where needed.

We are a Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme accredited firm. CQS is a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices that ensures solicitors have the necessary expertise to deliver quality residential conveyancing advice. We are also part of the Bold Legal Group and the BPS audit scheme.
